The Emerging Technology Center (ETC), a venture of the Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC), is the City of Baltimore’s award winning technology and innovation center focusing on entrepreneurship, technology and connections.

As part of BDC, the ETC promotes economic development by providing growing, early- stage companies with business, technical and networking support through its wealth of resources – helping to smooth their paths from concept to profitability.

The ETC has two diverse locations in the City of Baltimore – the Haven Street Campus in Highlandtown at 101 N. Haven Street and the Johns Hopkins University Eastern Campus at 1101 East 33rd Street. The companies that share its space foster the spirit of cooperation and the common goal of market viability.

The ETC offers three unique programs for entrepreneurs:
Beehive Baltimore – a co-working space;
Incubation – the perfect environment to get serious about your big idea and the ideal support network of the ETC; and
AccelerateBaltimore – An accelerated 13-week program for up to six startups with $25,000 in seed funding with a goal of launching a viable product in the marketplace.

Since 1999, the ETC has provided assistance to more than 350 companies, 87 percent of which are still in business. These companies have created more than 2,325 jobs and raised more than $1.8 billion in outside funding.
