The Emerging Technology Center (ETC), a venture of the Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC), is the City of Baltimore’s award winning technology and innovation center focusing on entrepreneurship, technology and connections.

As part of BDC, the ETC promotes economic growth by providing its member companies with the resources they need — access to seed capital, mentors, potential partners, a collaborative community, and other resources — to get where they want to go, as quickly as possible.

The ETC offers four unique programs for entrepreneurs:

IncubateBaltimore – The perfect next step to get serious about your big idea. You will have full access to extensive growth-oriented business and technical advice from a suite of C-Level Advisors and mentors.

BeehiveBaltimore – A fully equipped coworking office space for small companies in an open environment at reasonable rates. In other words, it’s an innovative community in which like-minded business people can reach their potential simply by focusing on their companies.

AccelerateBaltimore – A 13-week tech accelerator program with the mission to close the gap between innovative ideas and getting those ideas to market by providing six companies $25,000 in seed capital, resources, mentors, potential partners, and a collaborative community.

PioneerBaltimore – A 9-week business boot camp designed to take your early-stage business idea to the next step. This evening program is developed with the working professional in mind and is powered by the CO.STARTERS program.

Since 1999, the ETC has provided assistance to more than 500 companies, 70 percent of which are still in business. These companies have created more than 4,300 jobs and raised more than $2.4 billion in outside funding.
