To spur economic activity in all our neighborhoods and realize the full potential of Baltimore’s commercial corridors, BDC has commissioned several economic development studies that are underway. These studies are a component of the Mayor’s LINCS initiative — Leveraging Investments in Neighborhood Corridors strategy — an effort to enhance both the aesthetics and economic vitality of the gateways that connect Baltimore City’s neighborhoods and communities.
These studies will provide demographic, real estate, and economic analysis of these neighborhoods and corridors to help City’s agencies and community stakeholders determine how best to deploy public and private resources. The Liberty Heights Corridor Comprehensive Real Estate and Economic Development Assessment, is the first of these studies. The Study analyzes the current conditions and market potential for development along and around Liberty Heights Avenue and Garrison Boulevard and identifies and tests the feasibility of developing key opportunity sites. This study is currently being incorporated into the Mayor’s LINCs initiative and will be posted once completed.
