Baltimore, MD - The Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC) announces the sale and Request for Proposals (RFP) for the 7 East Redwood building, a historic downtown asset primed for redevelopment.
The Beaux-Arts-styled building, originally the First National Bank Headquarters, was constructed in 1924 and stands as a testament to the rich architectural heritage of Baltimore. Designed by Chicago-based architectural firm Graham, Anderson, Probst & White, 7 East Redwood encapsulates the grandeur of the era. The 21-story office building, spanning over 184,275 gross square feet, is now being offered back to the private market, marking a significant milestone in the revitalization of the Downtown Core.
As Baltimore undergoes a transformative period with over $6.6 billion in infrastructure and development projects within an 8-mile radius, including the nearby Harborplace's redevelopment, this sale represents a unique opportunity. The future of 7 East Redwood is poised to contribute to the area's evolution, complementing the shift towards a diverse and rapidly expanding residential neighborhood.
